Wall art

Because the wall art in your home should be able to reflect you and your style, who better is there to create this kind of art than you? You can follow these steps to create attractive wall art.

• Look at your space – The first thing that you need to do is simply decide on which areas of your home you plan to decorate with wall art. This will help you understand how many pieces of wall art you may need to buy. This can also help you decide if you want to buy or create one dominant piece of art on the wall, or if you would rather use a variety of several smaller pieces.

• Look for themes – If the room already has a theme, then you will likely want to create or buy wall art that follows that theme – whatever it is. Regardless of it includes a sport, a beach or a ‘50s diner motif, you are probably not going to want to mix themes in one room.

• Frame things – This is a simple, but fun tip. Frames are great for photos as well as other items. In addition to framing some of your favorite snapshots, you can frame other things, like CD covers, money, documents or other items.

• Hang love letters – Perhaps this is one of the best ideas you’ve never had. Hanging love letters in frames not only makes you feel good, but it also will make your significant other feel good that you think enough of him or her to frame and hang letters her or she has written.
